Director Patty Jenkins describes this scene to EW as Wonder Woman’s “moment.” “She’s heard all the terrible things about man’s land. But she’s also heard that mankind is in need and under duress,” said Jenkins. “This is her great moment to make the decision to be the one to try and save them.”

This is just the latest look at Warner Bros.’s upcoming slate of DC films being released in 2017. Fans got another look at Wonder Woman in a new image from Justice League, which showed her teaming with Ben Affleck’s Batman and Ezra Miller’s The Flash.

The synopsis for Wonder Woman reads: “After leaving her all-female island, Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) discovers her full powers and true destiny while fighting alongside soldiers during World War I.” Jenkins’ take on Wonder Woman is inspired by the Christopher Reeve Superman films.

Wonder Woman hits theaters on June 2, 2017. In addition to Gadot, the film stars Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Lucy Davis as Etta Candy, and Robin Wright as General Antiope. Here’s a look at three posters from the film highlighting Wonder Woman.
